Help! I FOUND A BABY ANIMAL

ORPHANED:
  1. Look for adult-parents in the vicinity
  2. Look for other young
  3. Look for a nesting site. if possible, return young back to the nest. The parents will continue to care for their young even if handled by humans!
  4. If truly an orphan, place animal in a warm, dark box and remember- warm, dark, and quiet.
  5. Then... CALL US
INJURED:
  1. Approach slowly, from the rear if possible
  2. Cover the animal with a towel or blanket
  3. Place animal in a cardboard box- be sure the box is well ventilated to avoid overheating.
  4. For further instructions... CALL US
**Caution: USE CARE when handling animals to avoid inflicting further injury. Be aware that the animal may struggle and be prepared to protect yourself (eyes, face, hands) from sharp beaks, talons, teeth, or claws. If rescuing an animal may pose a danger to you, PLEASE CALL US FIRST! Please DO NOT attempt to handle potentially dangerous animals.**
