 VOLUNTEER WITH US

Every member is a vital part of our organization's function; without them it would be impossible to save as many animals as we do.

Because we are strictly a volunteer organization, we always need more people willing to help.

If you'd like to give us a hand we would be pleased to welcome you as a member of our team!

We welcome new volunteers at all times!

It could be done for school credit, community service hours, or just to pass the time. We are really grateful for your time and assistance.

Call us to schedule an interview!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Do you love animals? We certainly do!

Maybe it’s time you join our team of volunteers!

There are so many ways to help, consider how you can be of service.

● Daily care of animals- preparing/portioning food, delivering food to the animals, bottle feeding/hand feeding young animals, cleaning and refilling water dishes, cleaning animal cages

● Household tasks- washing dishes, sweeping & mopping the floors, laundry, general maintenance

● Transporting animals- such a vital role. When a citizen finds an injured or orphaned animal, we ask them to bring it to us. Sometimes that is not possible due to work or other obligations, lack of transportation, etc. We need volunteers to meet these people in various locations and bring the animals to Nature World. Occasionally, we need volunteers to take animals to/from our local veterinarians.

● Clerical/hands-off opportunities- complete data entry for regulatory agencies, answer phones, set up community education & outreach programs, participate in festivals & special events, help with fundraising, public relations & social media.

● Special skills- You never know what special skills we could use! Do you have any construction experience? We are always building or improving outdoor enclosures. Who knew we would need an artist? We are currently painting a mural on one of our buildings with the help of a volunteer. Maybe you have a useful skill that would fill a gap we don’t know about! Tell us how you want to help.

Call (352) 621-5575 to set up an interview if you’re ready to be a wildlife rescuer!
